    In 1954, a group of businessmen with the help from U.S Senator Barry Goldwater were able to get permission from Forest Service and design their own subdivision called White Mountain Summer Homes. On September 4, 1959 the name of the club was changed from White Mountain Golf Club to what we know it as today - White Mountain Country Club.
